December means one thing for Footprint Digital – tree planting!
We love supporting the charity, Building Malawi, based in Lilongwe, Malawi.
Every year, for the past five years, we have donated money towards their tree planting project. This project brings together the local community, including schools funded by Building Malawi, to plant trees.
These trees are a mixture of native varieties, including fruit trees, with the hope that they grow big and strong, and not only support the ecology and sustainability of the local area, but also provide people with tasty oranges, avocadoes, lemons and more.
This year we are carrying on our tradition of planting one tree for each of our clients, and partner agencies, as a more sustainable Christmas thank you. We hope you’ll appreciate this more than a box of chocolates sent to your office!
We’ll keep you updated on the progress of the planting, and hopefully get some photos of the trees that have been planted over the past few years – as they are now thriving!
