Help offset the carbon emissions of your Christmas tree by twinning it with a tree in Malawi for just £5

Christmas trees are a beautiful, and important, part of many people’s festive celebrations. Let’s face it, we could all do with a strong dose of good cheer this year, and an excuse to celebrate has never been more welcome. However, Christmas trees do have a negative impact on the planet.

Globally, our carbon footprint is 6% higher during the festive period than any other time in the year. We need to do something to offset this damage, which is why this year, instead of sending out paper cards and traditional gifts to our clients and partners, we’ll be planting trees in your honour in Malawi.

Christmas Tree Twinning in Malawi – the thousand tree challenge

Through Tom Bowden’s registered Charity, Building Malawi, we are planting 900 established trees… and we want your help to make it to 1,000.

You can twin the Christmas tree in your home with a sapling in Malawi for just £5.

The trees we are planting include indigenous Moringa, Jacaranda, and Khaya Nyasica, as well as fruit trees like Avocado, Orange, and Banana trees. A £5 donation will pay for the sapling, as well as helping to fund employment of a local gardener, and community projects to ensure that local people get involved and are excited.
